10 Minute Home-made Salsa

Next time you are reaching for a jar of salsa in the store, think again! With just a few simple ingredients, you can make a salsa at home that tastes like restaurant quality!

Ingredients:

  • 1-28 oz can of organic diced tomatoes, liquid drained and discarded

  • Juice of 2 limes

  • 3 cloves of fresh garlic

  • Handful of cilantro

  • 1/2 small red onion

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 1/2 tsp pepper

Method:

  1. Peel red onion and chop coarsely into large pieces

  2. Throw everything into a food processor and run on low until salsa is a thick and chunky consistency. You may need to pulse a few times to ensure onion and garlic are finely chopped.

  3. Serve chilled and enjoy with tortilla chips, over eggs, or on a taco bowl!

*You could also add fresh jalapeños for a nice spicy kick!
